Putting the Green Back in Recycling for Heidelberg Materials

We recently installed a shelter for Heidelberg Materials (previously called Hanson) – in Ardingly, Hayward Heath, to store their recycled asphalt product (RAP).

The Zappshelter has helped the company save a huge amount of money and reduce their carbon footprint by keeping the RAP dry, eliminating the need for drying it out.

Having a Zappshelter on site has resulted in significant time savings in processing the material, so more material can go through the site, making more clients happy.

Mounted on precast concrete lego-style blocks and with a custom green fabric membrane cover, this setup blends perfectly into the rural landscape surrounding the site.

Overall, the Zappshelter has proved to be a valuable asset for Heidelberg Materials, providing both cost and time savings while also helping them to achieve their sustainability goals.
